The estate lies in the Comune di Cinigiano (Grosseto), within the Montecucco appellation, on the Maremma slope that faces Monte Amiata. It is reached by well-kept provincial roads and a final scenic stretch of gravel of about 700 metres. All around are some of Tuscany's most celebrated names — Montalcino, Siena, the Val d'Orcia, the springs of Saturnia — and the Maremma coast, all within a day.

A separate 12-hectare parcel offered alongside the estate, one hundred metres from the medieval borgo of Porrona — whose castle, now a luxury residence, lends the whole area its charm. Set on a north-west-facing hill suited to vine and to some of the Maremma's finest olives, reached by a recently asphalted, cypress-lined road.
